The New York State Court Officers Association honored Brooklyn attorney Bruce Baron at its annual awards dinner at Russo’s On the Bay on Feb. 11.  The dinner had been rescheduled from its original date due to Superstorm Sandy.

In selecting Bruce Baron as recipient of its 2012 Presidents Award, President Dennis W. Quirk acknowledged and recognized Bruce Baron’s outstanding contribution and service to the members of the New York State Court Officers Association (NYSCOA).

“It’s an honor and privilege to be part of such a fine group of men and women that enable litigants all over New York state to have their day in court, while protecting our legal system under the incredible leadership of their president Denis W. Quirk,” Baron said.

Baron successfully defended the NYSCOA in a discrimination lawsuit filed against the organization by a Manhattan court officer who alleged she experienced discrimination on the basis of her race and gender.
