Cherry Blake, community leader, passes away

Rest in peace, Cherry M. Blake.

Blake, who served as recording secretary for theĀ 78 Precinct Community Council, was an active community leader and advocate for residents of Park Slope and Clinton Hill. Her sister, Pauline Blake, currently serves as Council President and was the former president of Brooklyn Community Board 6.

The viewing will be held Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm at Duffy Funeral Home (255 Ninth Street, between 4th & 5th Avenues, Brooklyn).

The funeral mass will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 9:45 am at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church (116 Sixth Avenue, between Park Place & Sterling Place, Brooklyn)
