It may be windy, but it’s still a sunny, crisp day outside and is perfect weather for both indoor and outdoor winter activities at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and DUMBO’s gorgeous bookstore, powerHouse Arena.
- Children’s Gardening Classes start today at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and run regularly from 9 a.m. to Noon through April 18.
- Patients who are recovering from or have a loved one dealing with a brain aneurysm are invited to attend this support group at NY Methodist Hospital from 9 to 11 a.m.
- There is also a support group for those suffering from pulmonary hypertension. It meets at NY Methodist at from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Grandmothers, unite! The power and influence of grandmothers around the world is celebrated tonight at powerHouse Arena at 37 Main Street, where there will be a reading from the book, Grandmother Power. The book profiles activist grandmothers in fifteen countries on five continents who tell their compelling stories in their own words. RSVP to [email protected].
