The third season of FLICfest has returned to Fort Greene’s Irondale Center, home of the award-winning Irondale Ensemble Project. Starting today, January 24 through Saturday, February 2, this year’s program presented 12 full-length works by 14 choreographers, as well as a late-night cabaret.

Curated by FLICfest founder Jeramy Zimmerman, this season’s two-week festival continues its tradition of engaging Brooklyn’s art community and neighbors with a quality and lively lineup of performance through dance.

“Each year that we are at Irondale, our ties to our Brooklyn neighbors are strengthened,” said Zimmerman, who added that every year’s success ensures that FLICfest “will continue as a resource for the Brooklyn dance community.”

This year will introduce the Brooklyn Dance-Maker program, as well.

Among these talented companies are the likes of vibrant choreographers and dancers including Dana Salisbury, Austin Selden, Sarah Konner, Jillian Sweeney, Siobhan Burke, Lydia Chrisman, and Sumi Clements, among many others.

One of the choreographers, Alexandra Beller, will be speaking on January 31, at 6:30 p.m. about self-producing performance and creating feature-length work.
