Police search for stolen Torah worth $30,000
The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a stolen Torah worth $30,000.
Police say it was inside a car reported stolen Saturday evening in Brooklyn.
The car, a gray 2007 Toyota Corolla, was stolen near a synagogue on 18th Avenue in Borough Park.
Assemblyman Dov Hikind on Monday offered a $3,000 reward for any information leading to the return of the Torah.
Anyone with information should contact the 66th Precinct.
