The 84th Precinct’s 2012 Cop of the Year was Police Officer Julius Hudson, a veteran officer of nearly two decades who has “dedicated his work and after-hours guiding and mentoring Brooklyn youth” through his role running the precinct’s Explorer program and participation with Cops For Kids and summer youth activities.

Precinct Captain Maximo Tolentino and 84th Precinct Community Council President Leslie Lewis presented the award to Hudson at the Council’s monthly meeting, held January 15 at Brooklyn Borough Hall. Hudson also received certificates of recognition from the offices of State SEnator Daniel Squadron and Assemblymember Joan Millman.
