Madison Square Garden was jam-packed with music’s biggest stars on Wednesday, December 12 for a benefit concert to aid Hurricane Sandy victims.

During the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief, Breezy Point resident Kevin Breen – the chairperson of the board of the Bay Ridge-based Francesco Loccisano Memorial Foundation — found himself among those on stage with rockers like Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger because he is a member of the Rockaway-based Graybeards.

“We were invited to the concert because the Graybeards are a group of men who help out other men since 9/11,” he explained, adding that after Hurricane Sandy, their efforts went to helping those affected.

“Whatever we are called on to do, we do it,” he said.

All proceeds from the concert went to the Robin Hood Foundation, which spend a lot of time in the Rockaways.

“Brian Williams [‘NBC Nightly News’ host] is a friend of one of the Graybeards. When he heard about what we were doing, he did a piece on [his show], then ‘60 Minutes’ picked it up,” Breen said.

The Graybeards were offered fantastic seats to the concert, which was an epic six-hour show.

Since Breen also owns a business in Park Slope, not far from where actor Steve Buscemi lives, Buscemi spotted him at the show and he was pulled on stage with his friends.

Breen said it was the experience of a lifetime.

“I just believe in helping others,” he said.
