Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz (D-Brooklyn) has arranged for a team of lawyers and law students to come to the community to provide help with FEMA forms and to listen to residents’ legal concerns resulting from Sandy.
The attorneys, volunteers from the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, Inc. and students from Brooklyn Law School, will provide their free service at the Homecrest Library, 2525 Coney Island Avenue, between Avenue V and Gravesend Neck Road, today, November 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They will also provide assistance with replacement food stamps, landlord/tenant issues, small business relief and other storm-related legal issues. Resource materials will be provided.
