ABBA tribute concert tops Bay Ridge ‘Night Out’
The 68th Precinct Community Council is using music to bring neighborhood residents and police together in the hope of forging a partnership to fight crime. A concert by The ABBA Girlz, an ABBA tribute band, is expected to be the main draw to “National Night Out,” an anti-crime event co-hosted by the community council and the 68th Precinct, on Tuesday, Aug. 7, in Shore Road Park at 79th Street, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The ABBA Girlz, singing such ABBA hits as “Dancing Queen” and “Take a Chance on Me,” will take the stage at 7 p.m.
The concert is part of a fun-filled event designed to bring cops and the community closer together to foster cooperation, according to Council President Ilene Sacco.
