NY Methodist Hospital schedules a wide range of events in August
The week of Aug. 1-7 is recognized as World Breastfeeding Week. To mark this annual global event, New York Methodist Hospital will host World Breastfeeding Day on Wednesday, Aug. 1. The hospital offers a free Breastfeeding Support Group for new mothers, whether or not they delivered their babies at NYM. It meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2:30–3:30 p.m. The Breastfeeding Support Group focuses on providing encouragement and information for mothers and their newborns, from birth to three months old. A certified lactation consultant leads the group. The meetings take place in the Hospital’s Wesley House, Rooms 3K-C. Call 718-780-5081 for more information.
