Brooklynites from all areas are expected to join in a summer celebration on Friday, July 13, on Fulton Street in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

The event, one of several “FAB Fridays” planned this summer, will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature free ice cream plus live music  and urban outdoor croquet — all at the Putnam Triangle, at Fulton and Grand Avenue.

A free concert for kids will take place at 10 a.m.; the free ice cream giveaway will take place at 6 p.m. and continue until it runs out.

Sponsored by the Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance, the following Fulton Street businesses are participating: Met Foods Supermar-ket, Brooklyn Victory Garden, Green Grape Provisions, Cochinita, Essential Cakes  and Edward Jones.

In addition to urban croquet, there will be activities for youngsters like sand art and hula-hoops and local will be musicians playing from 5 to 8 p.m., including Jeff Newell and the New-Trad Quartet at Putnam Triangle Plaza; Joy Kelley and Velez Moore at Fowler Square; and DJ Barry Blends at The Garage at Fulton Street and Vanderbilt Avenue.

“While they’re here, we hope everyone will check out  the many cafes, restaurants and bars with outdoor seating,” said Phillip Kellogg, executive director of the FAB Alliance.
