Real estate brokerage company Modern Spaces recently hosted a launch event to celebrate the opening of its first Brooklyn office located on the Williamsburg waterfront at 135 Kent Avenue.

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz kicked off the celebration by presenting a “Modern Spaces Day” proclamation to co-founders Eric Benaim and Ted Kokkoris. Over 150 guests — including brokers, clients and real estate influencers — attended the Brooklyn-themed event.

As attendees entered the space, they were handed Modern Spaces and Brooklyn-branded orange sunglasses and orange Modern Spaces-branded Frisbees, and were escorted to one of the main attractions of the evening — The Bosco’s photo booth, a Brooklyn-based supplier of state-of-the-art photo booths and video confessionals.

At the photo booth, guests were provided with Brooklyn-themed props to wear as they featured their most creative poses for pictures.

At the spinning booth, Brooklyn favorite D.J. Ayers played music tunes while guests enjoyed wine, Brooklyn-brewed beer and hors d’oeuvres provided by local favorite Cubana Social.

Sweetleaf coffeehouse, which shares the 4,100 square-foot space with Modern Spaces, treated guests to mini pastries and specialty coffee drinks like their signature Iced Rocket Fuel.

Designed by Eric Benaim, the new office features environmentally-friendly furnishings including reclaimed wood and salvaged materials that were thoughtfully hand-selected and purchased locally. The office walls feature a 12 x 32-foot Brooklyn street art-style mural created by local Williamsburg artist Skewville and also showcase a photo of the Williamsburg neighborhood.

The shop has been created to have an open layout with a “Sweet Space” for clients to relax, equipped with free WiFi, a Foosball table and a lounge with couch seating.

Modern Spaces is an independently-owned real estate brokerage company that specializes in residential and commercial sales and leasing as well as project development and marketing in New York City.

Founded by Eric Benaim on the principles of customer service, community involvement and dedicated industry expertise, Modern Spaces’ agents are trained to provide their clients with absolute support, guidance and commitment from beginning to end of every real estate transaction.
