
Number of new development contracts in Brooklyn exceeds last year’s contracts
BROOKLYN — The site StreetEasy.com in its April 2012 New Development Market Report notes that contracts have increased in Brooklyn over the past year.
The StreetEasy.com report also notes that its data — for Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens — is based solely on sponsor sales listings marketed on its site.
In Brooklyn, new development contracts have increased 10.2 percent since a year ago and 22.7 percent since six months ago, according to the report.
Additionally, inventory has declined 27.5 percent since a year ago and 21.9 percent since six months ago.
