You’ve heard the spiel … there’s been an Eagle in Brooklyn since 1841. When a title’s been around that long, there’s bound to be a slip-up now and then. Thanks to the miracle of HTML, online errors quickly disappear; in print they last forever.

Today’s error? Everett Ortner, who died on Tuesday, was 92 (not 93, as the Eagle’s print edition headlines).
