Bay Parkway gets a mini-makeover
About 200 residents came out on May 6 to clean up Bay Parkway between 60th and 86th Streets, an effort spearheaded by Councilmember David Greenfield and Assemblymember Bill Colton.
Greenfield announced his plan to revitalize Bay Parkway back in March. He said this clean-up is just the first step in ridding the commercial corridor of debris and improving quality-of-life in the area.
We are hoping to make this an annual tradition. Its just the start of our efforts to keep Bay Parkway clean, he said. Its the beginning of a process. Bensonhurst today is a diverse community. A cleaner community brings the community together.
