Driver killed after car collides with Brooklyn bus

BROOKLYN (AP) — A man was killed after his vehicle struck a New York City bus and knocked over a utility pole in Brooklyn.

Police say a Chevy Trailblazer struck a city bus that was traveling in the opposite lane of traffic Saturday afternoon. The driver, 40-year-old Adam Nicholson of Manalapan, N.J., was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car struck a utility pole after hitting the bus.

There were no other injuries. Police say a 3-year-old girl in the backseat of the car was unharmed.
