DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN —  The Brooklyn Public Library’s Business and Career Library will offer a three-part free financial workshop series for residents on three upcoming Thursdays, May 17,  June 21 and July 19.

Titled “Growing Dollars and $ense: Get Smart About Your Finances,” the series will feature financial specialists who will share unbiased, practical information  on making the most of your money — whether saving for college, for starting a business or family, or for retirement.
The schedule is as follows:

• May 17 — Banking & Budgeting Basics: Making the Most of Your Money;
• June 21 — What’s Your Dream? Saving to Attain Your Goals; and
• July 19 — Investing 101: Building Wealth and Choosing Investments.

All three workshops in the series will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Business & Career Library is at 280 Cadman Plaza West, at Tillary Street.
