1 Dead in Bed-Stuy Fire

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT (AP) — Authorities say a man has died at a residential fire in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Police say they responded to a 911 call of a fire at 343 Jefferson Ave. shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday.

After firefighters put out the blaze, they discovered a man unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
