Women of Wonder gather at Dyker

Women of Wonder or WOW women met for a night of networking at the Dyker Beach Golf Club on April 9.

Each one of us has made a mark in our industry, said Victoria Schneps-Yunis, publisher of this paper and founder of WOW, to a room of about 50 women in marketing, sports, public affairs, finance, law, beauty, art, business and education.

Being a woman in business, I started this with a few of my friends, asked each person to bring another and here we are, Schneps-Yunis said. The most important thing is networking. We all love to be in business and share.

Among the things that came up in conversation as the evening progressed were Governor Andrew Cuomos new bill to help women in small business, as did a possible Sunset schmooze cruise.

But, said Schneps-Yunis, the important thing was just getting together.

Its a spectacular thing that we can be in one room with all these women doing such different and spectacular things, Schneps-Yunis said. Going forward, there is going to be just good things and good days ahead.
