Bensonhurst — A 41-year-old man had enough weapons and ammunition in his house to supply a small army, according to police, who raided the suspect’s home on April 12.

The suspect, Michael DePietro, was arrested on weapons and drug charges after police seized shotguns, rifles, handguns and 600 rounds of ammunition from his home at 1535 71st St., authorities said.

Three of the weapons were loaded, authorities said.

Police from the 62nd Precinct, who conducted the raid, also found cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills in the house, authorities said.

It’s not clear what DePietro was doing with all of the firepower in his house.

Police entered the house after obtaining a search warrant. Once inside the home, they uncovered the weapons, cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, a police scanner, two BB guns and $556 in cash, authorities said.

The weapons police said they found included: a loaded Beretta 9mm gun, a loaded Smith & Wesson .40 cal. gun, a .22 cal. gun, a loaded Phoenix Arms 22-inch-long rifle, a Marlin 30-30 rifle, a Savage Arms .22 cal. rifle, a Marlin 12-gauge shotgun, and a 410 cal. shotgun.

DePietro was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of weapons, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana.
