VINEGAR HILL — Calling it the first new commercial space available in DUMBO in over 10 years, Chris Havens, principal of Creative Real Estate Group (CREG), reports that his firm is now leasing space in the building at 231 Front St. in Vinegar Hill on the edge of DUMBO.

“Family ownership has renovated a 100-year-old brick and timber factory for modern office spaces,” said Havens.

To be known as the DUMBO/Vinegar Hill Creative Spaces, thesix-story building offers spaces of all sizes on floors one through four. with a goal of attracting creative tenants, according to Havens, who is handling leasing along with partner Frank DeCarlo.231 Front St., Vinegar Hill. It can also be finished or raw space. But exposed brick and and original details have been left intact in this “tasteful renovation,” said Havens. All tenants will have access to conference rooms, shared kitchens, tenant-controlled heat and air conditioning, free internet and 24/7 key card access.

Asking rents start at $800 a month and up, Havens said.

There are already four new tenants in the building — two film related firms, a consulting business and an internet business service.

The renovation is being designed by Arnold Cheung of Comprehensive Designs.
