CROWN HEIGHTS — Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services reports the sale of an eight-unit apartment building in Crown Heights.

The property, at 236 New York Ave., sold for $800,000, according to John Horowitz, regional manager of the firm’s Brooklyn office.

Shaun Riney and Derek Bestreich, investment specialists also in the Brooklyn office, had the listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The two agents  then secured the buyer, also a private investor.

“We received 12 non-contingent offers in writing in a 45 day marketing campaign and ultimately ended up closing with a local Crown Heights family in an all-cash transaction very close to the asking price,” said Riney.
