Councilmember, SBS Tour Grand Street BID

WILLIAMSBURG — City Councilmember Diana Reyna, along with representatives of the city’s Department of Small Business Services and other elected officials toured the Grand Street Business Improvement District (BID) on Monday as part of a series of such visits.

 Titled “BID Spotlight Tours,” the series is part of an effort to get input from local businesses along various retail corridors.

Located between Union and Bushwick avenues, the Grand Street BID is home to 180 retail businesses and services in a community of more than 35,000 residents.

Topics of discussion during the tour included finding use for vacant or underutilized space, potential branding and marketing efforts, and identifying new street-side designs and capital improvements.
