A 26-year-old man murdered a 29-year-old woman Tuesday evening and then took a fatal jump from the roof of his Williamsburg apartment building, according to police sources who spoke to NBC New York.

Police received a report of an unconscious woman in an apartment at 325 Roebling St. yesterday evening and arrived to find Liliana Belfor dead and covered in blood in the bathtub, as reported by NBC.

Witnesses told police that Belfor’s suspected killer, Efriam Gabourel, had fled the apartment in the direction of the roof before their arrival.

They pursued him and Gabourel jumped from the roof to his death.

The police investigation into the apparent murder-suicide is ongoing.
