Mother Arrested for 11-Month-Old’s Bathtub Drowning Death
NEW YORK (AP) — Police say the mother of an 11-month-old baby who drowned in a bath has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Elijah Pardella was found unconscious in his Brooklyn home just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Elijah and a 3-year-old child were left in the bath alone for several minutes with the water running.
Angelica Huertas was charged Tuesday. It wasn't immediately known if she had a lawyer.
The investigation is continuing.
