Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Advisory Board To Meet

FORT GREENE — The Brooklyn Hospital Center Community Advisory Board (CAB) will hold its annual public meeting on Tuesday, April 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 121 DeKalb Ave.

The meeting’s agenda includes a keynote address from Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Sandra Chapman, a management report from Brooklyn Hospital Center President and CEO Richard B. Becker, opening and closing remarks from CAB Chair Rev. Earl Jones and the election of officers.  

The meeting will also feature a presentation on “Health Care in Our Community: Access and Affordability” by Joseph Guarracino, chief financial officer; Bernadette Selby, assistant vice president of patient accounting and patient access; and Egondu Onuoha, director of the Woman Infant and Children (WIC) Program.

The public is invited to attend the meeting to learn about health care in the community.  Members of CAB cultivate and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations and civic groups to strengthen the hospitals links with the community; assist the hospital’s administration in its community outreach efforts; and monitor the hospital’s patient satisfaction process to ensure that issues are addressed and resolved.
