Police Wound Brooklyn Woman with Stray Round

BROOKLYN (AP) — A Japanese tourist who was staying at a freind's apartment in Brooklyn has suffered a slight injury from a stray round fired by police during a drug investigation.

The shooting occurred at about 6 a.m. today after narcotics officers entered a third-floor apartment in Brooklyn. Police say one officer's gun accidentally discharged during a struggle with a suspect.

The bullet went through the floor and into a second-floor home where it struck a woman. She was taken to the hospital with a graze wound to the arm.
