Good morning. Today is the 89th day of the year. On this day in 1979, the House Select Committee on Assassinations released its final report on its investigation into the assassinations of President John. F. Kennedy, civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and Senator Robert Kennedy. The committee concluded that President Kennedy was the victim of a conspiracy, although no trail of a conspiracy could be established 16 years after his assassination.

Well-known people who were born today include actress Lucy Lawless (“Xena”), actor Christopher Lambert (Greystroke: The Legend of Tarzan), Hall of Fame football player Earl Campbell and actor Bud Cort (Harold and Maude, Brewster McCloud.).
