Giant Tanker Looms Over Pier 7

The Torm Thames, flying under the Danish flag, cut an impressive figure on Wednesday night at Pier 7 in Brooklyn. The 604-foot-long, 164-foot-high chemical tanker, built in 2005, loomed well over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway at the foot of Atlantic Avenue. She arrived in New York on Sunday.
