DYKER HEIGHTS – Leaving his keys in his apartment may have cost a Dyker Heights man his life.

Stanley Dadashev, 35, fell to his death from a third-floor ledge outside his building as he tried to gain entry into his apartment through a window on March 16, police at the 68th Precinct said.

Dadashev, who lived in a third-floor apartment at 1327 67th St., had accidentally left his keys inside the apartment when he left to visit a car dealership with a friend to rent a car, police said.

When he arrived home shortly before 1 p.m. and couldn’t get back into his apartment, he climbed onto a ledge.

“He was sitting on the ledge and he slipped, or fell,” a cop said.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene and discovered Dadashev lying on the ground, bleeding heavily. He was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
