BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — HKS Capital Partners has arranged a $10 million construction loan for the Daten Group LLC to complete the renovation and residential conversion of the former police precinct building at 72 Poplar St. in Brooklyn Heights.

The 33,000-square-foot former city-owned building is awaiting final design and conversion approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) and the Department of Buildings.

According to the LPC, the design team has had several appearances before the commission, in February and March, with no action taken.

First reported by Real Estate Bisnow online yesterday, the loan was confirmed by John Harrington of HKS Capital Partners.
