Brooklyn Duo Arrested Amid Highway Drug Busts
ALBANY (AP) — The New York State Police Thruway detail had a busy weekend making drug busts in the Albany area.
Troopers stopped a vehicle Saturday for a traffic violation and found a pound of marijuana in the truck. Two Albany men were charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
Also on Saturday, troopers stopped a vehicle that was exiting the Thruway in Albany. Police searched the vehicle and found cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and heroin.
Two Brooklyn men and a teenager from Rutland, Vt., were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. All three were sent to Albany County Jail with no bail.
On Sunday, Thruway troopers arrested a Bronx man after they found 200 grams of cocaine in his vehicle when they pulled him over just south of Albany.
