St. Joseph’s To Host Hispanic Chamber at 3rd Annual Brooklyn Business Expo
CLINTON HILL — All Brooklyn residents, entrepreneurs and business owners are invited to attend the third annual Brooklyn Business Expo, an event sponsored by the Brooklyn (Kings County) Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and hosted by the St. Joseph’s College Community Advisory Council on Thursday, March 29, on the campus in Clinton Hill.
The free event, titled “Celebrating Small Businesses and the Jobs They Create,” will offer attendees and participating businesses and entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet, network and discuss their products and services.
Additionally, it will feature interactive workshops with leading figures in the Brooklyn business community discussing the latest best practices for businesses, energy efficiency and access to capital.
Created by the Business Department of St. Joseph’s, the Community Advisory Council helps to foster a collaborative and congenial business environment in its home borough. Through its partnerships with the Small Business Development Center of Brooklyn, Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Partnership, the office of the Brooklyn borough president and Fort Greene Strategic Neighborhood Action Partnership (SNAP), the council seeks to monitor local economic trends, explore the latest and best practices in the workplace and share this information among members.
The mission of the Brooklyn Hispanic Chamber is to not only advance the civic and commercial interests of Hispanic business owners but also to enhance the Brooklyn business community as a whole.
The Brooklyn Business Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the college’s Tuohy Hall Auditorium, 245 Clinton Ave. To register, please call (718) 940-5857 or (718) 714-7146 or visit www.sjcbusinessexpo.com.
