Driver Arrested For Hit-and-Run

A Brooklyn driver has been arrested after a hit-and-run in Brownsville on Wednesday that resulted in the death of a 69-year-old woman. According to police, officers responding to a 911 call discovered the victim unconscious and unresponsive in the street. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police say Videsh Badal, a Coney Island resident, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license and DWI.
