Father and son team Steve (second from right) and Manny Saviolakis (right) stand tall behind a ten foot counter celebrating the 115th Anniversary of Anopoli, the landmark ice cream parlor and family restaurant on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge they’ve been operating for the past 17 years. Though renovations have taken place since the parlor opened in 1897, the stools at the counter, the booths and the front windows have kept the same pattern and style that make Anopoli a classic eatery. The ice cream is even still made fresh on the premises! Pictured with the father and son team as they accept a proclamation from state Sen. Marty Golden (center) are Merchants of Third Avenue Executive Secretary Charles Otey (left) and Marathon Bank Branch Manager Maria Krisilas.
