Good morning. Today is the 68th day of the year. It is International  Women’s Day (originally International Working Women’s Day), a day to honor working women. It was first proclaimed at an international conference of women held at Helsinki, Finland, in 1910. The delegates approved it as a strategy to help win equal rights for women, including women’s suffrage.

Well-known people who were born today include singer-actor Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees, actor Freddie Prinze Jr. (Scooby-Doo, She’s All That), singer-songwriter Carole Bayer Sager and Motown Records co-founder Raymona Gordy Singleton.
