The Australian-born professionals Ben Gould and Damien Mudge completed a successful defense of their title Sunday by defeating the third-seeded team of Mathur and Leach in the final of the David Johnson Open Doubles Squash Championship at the Heights Casino. The score was 15–6, 15–8, 14–15, 10–12.

The enthusiastic gallery at one of the world’s premier doubles squash events, as well as players, appreciated the steady officiating by the veteran Larry Sconzo.

In the Victor Elmaleh ProAm tournament, also held at the Casino, club member Dana Betts and professional partner Hamed Anvari defeated Charlie Roberson and Greg McArthur for the title.
