Top Grimm Aide Arrested For Assaulting Son
BOERUM HILL – A top aide to U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm (R-Bay Ridge-Staten Island) was arrested Feb. 17 on charges of assaulting his 14-year-old son outside the boy’s school after the youngster got into a disciplinary problem in school, the New York Daily News reported.
Liam Ambrose McCabe, 33, director of community relations in Grimm’s Brooklyn office, was arrested at 1 p.m. on Dean Street after police spotted him holding his son’s arms and shaking the boy, the Daily News reported.
McCabe had been called to the school, the Math and Science Exploratory School, at 345 Dean St., because his son had gotten into trouble.
