YWCA Offers Programs for Small Businesses, Entrepreneurs

BOERUM HILL — The YWCA of Brooklyn will offer two free Economic Empowerment Workshops this month for entrepreneurs and small business owners, open to men as well as women.

• The Art of Self Promotion will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, presented by The Women’s Business Center.

Whether you are an entrepreneur or an employee, this workshop will help you learn how to to promote your current skill sets and discover new ones.

• Tax Tips for Sole Proprietors will be offered at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, presented by the Women's Business Network and the IRS.

If you currently own a business or are thinking of starting one, this workshop can help you navigate your tax questions and inform you about what to expect.

Both workshops will take place in Meeting Room 1. The YWCA is at Third and Atlantic avenues in Boerum Hill.
