The restored sgraffiti on 177–179 Columbia Heights is receiving an excellence in architectural restoration award from the Brooklyn Heights Association at its Feb. 22 annual meeting. At left, Lucia Popian was seen last October putting on some finishing touches. She worked on the project with her husband Gabriel Popian.

Also getting a restoration award are the owners of 58 Hicks Street, Amy Klein and Jeremy Lechtzin, for stripping asphalt shingling from the facade and returning the building to its original appearance.58 Hicks Street

In addition, community service awards are going to Deputy Inspector Mark DiPaolo, commander of the 84th Precinct, and to Long Island College Hospital for its survival-enhancing merger with SUNY Downstate.

The BHA meeting takes place 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street.
