DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce reports it has launched a new state of-the-art website. The completely revamped ibrooklyn.com now features user-friendly navigation, streamlined design and heightened search engine optimization, which will result in more unique page views for Chamber members, according to Peter Meyer, Brooklyn Chamber chairman.

Created by WebLink International, an organization specializing in the unique needs of chambers of commerce and associations, the redesign is accompanied by a complete data transfer to WebLink Membership Management Software. These changes will provide chamber members with world-class customer service and direct access to a diverse array of business support services.

The new site features seven main navigation drop-down tabs, allowing visitors to quickly locate desired content and information. The Chamber pillars— promotion, support, and advocacy — are also accentuated. Visitors can navigate via these pillars from any page of the website in order to learn about programming based on the Chamber's vision of fostering a robust business community and a strong economy in Brooklyn. Additionally, heightened SEO function will allow members to receive more unique page views, and result in increased returns from internet searches.

“Today marks a new day in Chamber innovation,” said Meyer. “With the launch of our new website and database operation the Chamber will reach new levels of excellence in customer service, programming and innovation. This is the start of a new chapter of growth for the Chamber, and we look forward to the exciting adventure ahead.”

The modern design aesthetic is also indicative of Brooklyn’s place as a leader in design and the arts. Each primary navigation tab features an image of an iconic Brooklyn landmark like the Downtown Brooklyn skyline, the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island, BAM, Prospect Park and Grand Army Plaza.

The homepage features a sweeping twilight photograph of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, with the Brooklyn skyline in the background. The photographer, Andrew Mace, focuses on cityscapes at twilight and night, typically from above ground level.
