BPL Offers Art as Business Workshop

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn Public Library’s Business & Career Library will offer a workshop for artists, titled “Find Info on the Business of Art,” on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Painters, photographers and other visual artists can turn their talent into a full-time career with some business [and library] savvy, according to workshop organizers.

Business librarians will offer assistance on how to find information on selling your art online; locating galleries, art shows and fairs; identifying and applying for grants; how to find teaching positions; and copyrighting your work.

No registration is necessary for the workshop, offered from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Business Library is at 280 Cadman Plaza West, corner of Tillary Street.
