Partying for real with the Brooklyn Real Estate Board

Five community leaders were among those in the spotlight whenthe Brooklyn Real Estate Board held its annual holiday party atSirico’s Caterers on December 14.

The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. whenguests were able to mingle and network. The main event began at7:30 p.m. in the main dining room where the program commenced.

The evening started with a toast to real estate broker DinoLamia and Judge Luigi Marano who are celebrating their 90thbirthdays. The honorees were then individually recognized for theiraccomplishments and contributions to the community, and each wasgiven a plaque that recognized their achievements.

Honored this year were Colonel Michael Gould, commander of theFort Hamilton Army Garrison, who received the DistinguishedCommunity Service award; Arlene Figaro, principal of VisitationAcademy, who was honored with the Leadership in Education award;Joshua Schneps, co-publisher of The Home Reporter andBrooklyn Spectator

I thought they did a very beautiful job. Compliments to ReneeDorsa, her staff and all efforts they put into it, Sabbagh said.They did a very lovely job.

Schneps expressed his appreciation for the recognition. I amhonored that the Brooklyn Real Estate Board had chosen me as therecipient of its Business Achievement award, he said. Renee Dorsa, Schneps added, has done an exceptional jobleading the Brooklyn Real Estate Board and should be commended fora terrific evening.

State Senator Marty Golden, Councilmember Vincent Gentile,Assemblymember Alec Brook-Krasny and a representative fromCongressmember Michael Grimm’s office were among those who attendedthe event.

The feedback from the party was extremely positive, Dorsasaid. Guests were able to reconnect with those they had lost touchwith over the years and for those that did not know each other,they got a chance to establish new relationships.
