National Night Out festivities on August 2

On Tuesday, August 2, the National Night Out Against Crimereturns to communities across the country. The annual event isaimed at building police-community partnerships, showing offcommunity spirit against crime, and garnering support andparticipation in local anti-crime programs.

62 PRECINCT: Residents of Bensonhurst, Gravesend and Bath Beach areinvited to the precinct house at Bath Avenue and Bay 22nd Streetfrom 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a street fair-block party combo featuringfood, games, antique automobiles and music.

68 PRECINCT: Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights residents should head toShore Road and 79th Street from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for food, fun,friends and fighting crime. There will be live music from DiscoUnlimited, plus raffle prizes and the presentation of awards tocommunity leaders.

72 PRECINCT: Join your neighbors from Sunset Park, Windsor Terraceand Greenwood Heights at the Sunset Park Ball Fields at 44th Streetand Sixth Avenue, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for fun in and out of thesun. Come enjoy food, games, live music, dancing and prizes, inaddition to a gorgeous sunset at the top of the hill.
