There are ways to make the experience less of an ordeal, stresses Dr. Roy Blash, Adelphi’s president. The purpose of collegenight, he said, Is to give an idea of what college and the collegesearch are all about and to give parents and students a roadmap.

During the two-hour session, Blash will discuss:

• The college hunt 2012

• Doing your college homework

• Narrowing the choice

• How to get into the college of your choice

• How to pay for college

• The scholarship scramble, and

• College survival.

Overall, the college-selection process is anxiety-producing,Blash said, and taking as much control as possible of the myriaddetails in a timely fashion can make it much easier to weather.
