Stormy weather came rolling into Brooklyn on Wednesday and it brought with it plenty of thunder and lightning as well as some flooding. It even brought down some of the facade underneath the Brooklyn Bridge which injured five people Wednesday night.

Unfortunately, the storms don’t appear to be going away anytime soon as the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch in Brooklyn beginning Thursday morning and into Friday. There is also a heat advisory with temperatures reaching into the upper-80s and thunderstorms are expected to return Thursday night.

All of this is happening as Hurricane Arthur, currently a Category 1 storm that could reach Category 2 status. Luckily, it is expected to pass to the East of Brooklyn.
