A 39-year-old woman was lured to a Bensonhurst motel by a man who promised her a job interview. But instead of interviewing the woman, the man raped her, police said.

The shocking incident took place nearly seven months ago, on Sept. 2, but on Feb. 26, police released photos taken by surveillance cameras at the motel. Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the rape suspect that they have been hunting since early September.

The New York Daily News reported http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/nypd-man-russian-accent-wanted-motel-rape-article-1.1274348 that the attacker lured a woman to the Harbor Motor Inn, 1730 Shore Parkway, under the pretext of interviewing her for a job. The suspect paid for a room, police said. But once they entered the room, the suspect raped the woman.

The suspect is described as a 5 foot 8, muscular, bald man. Witnesses at the motel told police the suspect spoke with a Russian accent.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, via the website at http://a056-crimestoppers.nyc.gov/crimestoppers/public/index.cfm or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577
