DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — TJ Maxx is coming to Fulton Mall to a location at 505 Fulton St.

First reported in Crain’s New York Business last week, it was confirmed by property owner Albert Laboz of United American Land on Tuesday.

“We are thrilled to have TJ Maxx as a tenant,” Laboz told the Eagle in an email. “Together with H&M, they will form a strong nucleus for other similar quality retailers to follow in our project.”

Laboz also confirmed that TJ Maxx will occupy 23,000 square feet on the lower level of the landmarked seven-story building known as the Offerman Building.

According to Crain’s, Ripco Real Estate’s Peter Ripka represented both the tenant and the landlord in the lease transaction.

The asking rent was $40 per square foot, Crain’s said.

Attempts to reach the broker at Ripco to discuss the deal were unsuccessful.
