Tech engineers a big win over the Tigers
Brooklyn Tech 42, Fort Hamilton 0
It’s been just four games into the season, but it appears that the (0-4) Fort Hamilton Tigers are a snake-bitten team this year after losing their fourth consecutive game to the Engineers of Brooklyn Tech. Fielding mainly a young sophomore and junior team, the Tigers suffered another blow to their team as they lost their entire backfield to injury, which included both starting running backs Michael Brooks and Isaiah Washington, as well as starting quarterback Adrian Maldonado to a concussion.
After Adrian Maldonado had his bell rung in last week’s Clinton game, it was up to second-string quarterback Devon Watts to switch from defense to take the snaps from center. Despite the Tigers’ preparation to ensure that they would get their first win at on their home turf, an early first-quarter fumble set the tone of the game as Tech’s quarterback Brandon Schneider converted the turnover for the first score of the game.
