Republican Chairman Priebus in Brooklyn Monday for African-American ‘listening tour’
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is set to appear in Brooklyn on Monday as part of the RNC’s “engagement and listening session with African American business, political and governmental leaders.”
Priebus will speak at the Christian Cultural Center in East New York at 2 p.m. with Rev. A. R. Bernard, the church’s Republican founder, and state party chairman Ed Cox. According to the Washington Post, Cox has urged Rev. Bernard to consider running for mayor.
Priebus has been meeting with Republicans around the country, including black and Hispanic leaders, to examine how the GOP performed (or underperformed) in the 2012 elections. He will announce the findings of the Growth and Opportunity Project on March 18, at the National Press Club.
